Located on the north side of town in Willcox, Arizona, exit 340 off interstate highway I-10 is where the highway meets Rex Allen Drive (aka Fort Grant Road and State Route 186). Route 186 continues through the town and then southeast toward Chiricahua National Monument. The "dry lake" at the Willcox Playa National Natural Landmark is about five miles south of Willcox. Thousands of sandhill cranes spend their winters nesting there.
